A natural waterway that transits water through a landscape from higher to lower elevations
This week’s action…..
The new season kicked off in a brand new venue, Cavehill Card Club’s sister ground the Heineken Stadium. With a couple of new transfers into the league still under negotiations, it was our 6 regulars that took to the wood. NB – Could we have the facilities manager of the Heineken Stadium organize a bit of baize for the table.
The jilted mathematics quickly came back into play with a mystery extra five pound note accumulating into the pot, but the mystery was quickly laid to rest upon realization that this was the first addition to the league pot, and not part of the nightly prize pool.
Deadly O’Danger O’Boyle was the first man to stumble in the new season when he picked up some O’splinters from the O’spoon……
As Resident Heineken Swiller was not at his residence, he was at the Heineken Stadium, he was NOT swilling Heineken. The lack of swillage of his favourite tipple may or may not have affected his game, but what did affect his game was one of three ladies that happened to show up along the river and obliterate what was certain to be a split pot……
It was myself who kicked off the season by taking a leaf out Appin Streets most burst player, a spherical liquid film to go please…….
The seasons first Heads up consisted of Hammerheed and Irwinator, with the later having the dominating stack and dominate he did to pick up the first win of the season. With comparison of seasons past there is no cause for alarm though as we all know Irwinator likes to start off strong but sure as eggs is eggs he will self destruct at the half way point………
All nicely wrapped up and its home in time for phonejacker……..
I’m Terry Tibbs…….Lets do business!
